PHILOSOPHY (About web page)

Edelbio is a story of friendship: friends sharing beauty secrets.

Beauty can be found in many forms, places and faces. Edelbio connects women of different generations and cultures, helping to open our minds and expand our definitions of beauty.

Edelbio is a story of respect: for ourselves and our environment.

Choosing organic whenever possible ensures healthy people and a healthy planet. Our skin absorbs so much of what we put on it – shouldn’t it be as pure as possible? Edelbio organic ingredients are good for your skin. And the way they are grown is good for the environment.

Edelbio is, above all, a love story: the bond between mother and daughter.

Edelbio was born from a mother’s love, and the desire to pass on a healthy beauty experience to the next generation.

Edelbio: nurturing mothers and daughters…naturally

GOING MORE-GANIC  (blog post)

The word organic has become a marketing darling these days, but what does it mean exactly?

Simply put, organic crops and animals are grown without pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, antibiotics or growth hormones. Most conventional farms use thousands of pounds of these chemicals every day. So if we want to keep them out of our water, our soil and our bodies, it makes sense to choose organic.

Because organic isn’t always possible or available, your best bet is to avoid the conventional foods with the most chemicals. And for the foods you and your family often, like fruits, veggies, dairy and grains, buy organic whenever you can.

To get your family on board, try bringing your kids to the market with you. Tell them what you’re buying, and why. Give them good reasons for avoiding overly-processed and conventionally-farmed foods. Let them pick out a new fruit or vegetable to taste, and send them on a scavenger hunt to find “organic” signs and labels. Teach them about making healthy, nutritious choices at the market and at mealtime.

It’s impossible to eliminate every toxin – and no fun to live in a bubble. But the more often you can choose organic, the fewer chemicals your family will be exposed to. And that’s a healthy investment for you, your family and the Earth.
